Briksdal Glacier

From a hike in Briksdal valley to see the famous and beautiful Briksdal Glacier, an arm of the greater Jostedalen Glacier, the largest in mainland Europe.

There are two main access routes here, by car and by boat (cruise liner). By car you first drive to Stryn, from there it's an hour drive to Briksdalen. When you park your car in Briksdalen, it's approx 2-3 km. hike (1.5-2 miles) up to the glacier. The easier path is to hike along the same path as the horse carts use.
